discount for dollar amount
Many manufacturer's coupons are for specific dollar amounts rather than percentages. Currently, we cannot accept these coupons, since we can only discount percentages. This would be a great feature to add.

The iPad register and the Mac register both support fixed dollar amount discounts on each item. You can only do a percentage discount on ALL items though. Which register are you using?Comment

Is there a way to discount the entire sale by a dollar amount? We spend way too much time trying to discount $10 Groupons.... -

Currently, there's no way to do that, but I will suggest it as a feature. The thing is, the system would need to make an arbitrary decision as to what items get discounted. That will take more work, but we are aware of the issue, and considering ways to deal with it

I have the same issue with fixed dollar gift vouchers, but i appreciate the explanation. It makes the issue less frustrating. Please find a solution soon.
