Alternate Tender Types in Ipad

We're not currently working on this feature in particular, but we do listen to requests, and we're continuously working on ways to make ShopKeep better. In the meantime, the "Other Tender" button is the way to enter non-cash, non-credit transactions.

You should not be using Groupon as a tender. Groupons are coupons and therefore should reduce the total before tendering. On the iPad we have the ability to discount but a percentage or a full dollar amount on the item level. You can use that functionality to use Groupons with ShopKeep for now.

We use allot of gift certificates. we currently just discount the whole total by what ever amount of gift cards they are cashing in.

we would love a way to track the usage,

I agree with Charlie there needs to be a tender button for groupon/gift certificate. The discounting the full amount works unless you need to still collect the sales tax...once you've discounted it the full amount there's nothing to tax and with Groupon you MUST collect sales tax. It is basically a gift certificate not "other". If i sell a gift certificate that's already included in our sales if you use other it assumes that this is additional money which it's not. Other to me is for a check. I hope you really start working on this soon. A true point of sale system should be able to tender a gift certificate and /or a groupon.
